The Freebie……..

Ya’ll I was sitting in my recliner one day way back in the Spring, flipping through Facebook Marketplace when I saw two words that I love to here……….. FREE DRESSER! AND IT WAS RIGHT NEAR OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! I must have been living right that day! Even Big Daddy didn’t have a spin out when I asked for help loading the piece. It did however have a flaw . The top lip of on of the drawers was broken off , like half of it. Well …..poop!

So there it sat in the garage till 2 weeks ago and here’s how it looks today!

Oh and by the way…….. it is cherry!

Now take a good look at what looks like two deep drawers at the bottom of this dresser. It is not two drawers, but a deeper third drawer. Everybody on board now? Good! The right half of that deep drawer, at the top where the bevel is was gone, and I mean GONE. Luckily , we have a GREAT woodworking shop called Klingspors in our neighborhood as well. Mohawk company makes a product that can fix this called an Epoxy Putty Stick . Big Daddy did an amazing job on that drawer ya’ll! All that model building he did as a kid gave him mad skills! And the putty stick comes in all types of wood colors…… like cherry!

Think of it as a really fast and rock hard drying Play-Doh ya’ll!
