Hello my friends!
I hope ya’ll are having a great weekend where you are. We had a beautiful morning that gave way to a very overcast afternoon, which is a major bummer for me because I needed to photograph two pieces before they head down to the shop. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day for that. Today I want to share with ya’ll a few pieces of furniture that I was never happy with when it came to taking photos of them.
This sweet little desk was a bad word to photograph. I drug this thing all over the house trying to get the perfect light. Alas, I finally just gave up and transported it on down to my booth. I did manage to show how amazing the top was.
I am assuming the top is Mahogany but I have never seen the grain quite like this. If ya’ll know more about this please enlighten me about the wood grain. Besides all the movement in the desks top, I used a really fun wall paper in all of those drawers.
This peel and stick wallpaper is very close to Clemson orange!
Yes, Clemson Tigers! I just love this bright, happy detail .
I really liked the original ring pulls that came with this piece but they didn’t clean up well. So I dug out my tube of Rub n Buff in the shade European Gold and it did the trick.
Next up is the sweetest little table ya’ll. At $25 it is also the least expensive and has all of its original toes! I painted it in the same deep blue color that I used on the antique dresser with all those stars. It is also a mahogany piece. I love all the details and the curvy parts on the tables base.
See what I mean?
Lastly, I want to share with y’all some new mugs that I just found at Dollar General. Ya’ll know me pretty well by now, weirdnesses and all. This is one of my weirdnesses. I am super weird about what I drink my coffee out of.
Yes, I know………
These mugs won’t burn you hands off , they do keep your coffee warm really well AND the mugs hold exactly as much as a large cup of Panera coffee.
No Joke.
Currently I am working on two pieces at once.No presser there ! One is a really pretty maple piece and I am enjoying leaving the top unstained. I will post them as soon as I can.
Y’all take care!
Paige

The table reminds me of a Drexel table you painted black, but I’m always partial to the navy blue.

Well – the first photo leading off with Mac did me in!! The white desk almost looks like a vanity I used to have (really old even then) and the square doors opened to two drawers stacked on top of each other. I love the round table; you find and pick the most beautiful pieces to work with!!
