Fun and random Fact: Paige has an insane love for anything with a bow front.
Case in point:
This one is in my living room.
And they usually come with Hepplewhite hardware which is a bonus in my book. So naturally when I spotted another one on Facebook Marketplace for $40 I was off like a shot to pick that baby up. The woman who was selling this dresser was just the nicest lady and I really enjoyed talking to her as well.
It came with hardware that I love , but it also came with a GOB of patching, sanding and repeating. LOTS of dings in the veneer. Ya’ll can seen all of the missing veneer on the curvy part of the bottom. There was no fixing that . So I used a putty knife and pried the rest of it off all across the front. The wood underneath was just fine but it was rough from the old glue that was under the mahogany veneer. Once I sanded all that area really smooth it painted out beautifully!
If you recall I had mixed up a batch of teal paint for this little piece…….
I had some of that paint left over. But it wasn’t enough to cover this entire big dresser. The paint formula was equal parts navy blue cabinet paint and a Fusion Mineral paint in a Kelly green called Park Bench. No rocket science here. It is a lovely, moody color.
That oval hardware that I am so nuts about pretty dull , finish wise. I tried brass cleaner with less that stellar results. That stuff is long on stink as well. So I ended up using Rub N Buff on the pulls and they perked right up. If you’ve never used Rub N Buff its a great product. It a metallic wax product. I apply it with a short, stubby stencils brush . it’s less messy with that brush. It also drys fast.
And for the drawers……….
Lord, I have to say that this has to be the loudest paper I have ever used in a piece.
But it fits it perfectly! My teal paint matches there teal perfectly 🙂
A very nice lady bought this 3 days after I moved in in to my shop. She sent me a message on Facebook to thank me and to let me know that she loves it.
That just means the world to me.
Currently I am working on this………and waiting on knobs ):
Have a great week y’all!

Beverly thank you❤️ I truly LOVE these dressers. I went back through all my photos and I have done 6 or 8 of them. Out of all that? I kept 1.

LOVE everything about this piece!! The paper you chose for the drawers looks fantastic with your paint color. You must have tremendous willpower to keep only one of six or eight of these pieces!!
