Yeah ya’ll.
Apparently it’s is a thing.
And I am well aware that I have been able to pick up and refinish probably more than my fare share Drexel furniture. I love the stuff! It is so well made and beautifully designed. And apparently now it finds its way to mean its own own.
So early on a Saturday morning and in my area of town I came upon a listing for a really nice and what appeared to be a substantial desk with gobs of drawers……. for $40. I could not get there fast enough.
Now this is a big desk y’all, Big and HEAVY. I chose to go with our favorite neutral in this house, a warm gray, Sherwin Williams Urban Bronze. You may remember that I had this same color mixed at Lowes in the Valspar Cabinet and Furniture paint. The one thing that I do not like about is is once you paint a piece of furniture with it, it will have to cure. I usually wait about a week before taking it down to the shop. Now I am impatient as hell ya’ll. This paint is well worth that wait.
It came with all of the original drawer hardware as well which was a good and economical bonus. I could have easily spent more on the hardware (with all these drawers) than I paid for the desk. Lining all of the drawers took me an entire afternoon!
This peel and stick wall paper is so pretty ya’ll! This will not be the last time you see it either :)))
I’m working on a super fun piece next!
Have a great week!

Hi Paige. Could you provide the link to the wallpaper you used. It’s beautiful. I follow your blog all the time. You should show some pictures of your shop sometime. I have a space in a decorating and gift mall and am always interested in how other shop owners display their wares. Thank you and have a great day.
