This is a fun one today friends!
Today victim ya’ll
I learned a long time ago that I need look past what a piece of furniture looks like now and try to see the potential in it. This side table is classic, too red but classic. It just need to be restyled a bit to bring it in to 2022.
Oh…… did I forget to mention there was two?
$19 each y’all
Now, first let’s talk about the paint color. As I often do I mixed the bronze color up in my kitchen. I mixed a lot of dark gray with a little olive green until it resembled a bronze. I kept thinking about a stylish men suit the whole time I was working on these.
Sleek….. polished …… well tailored
To me they are decidedly masculine.
I sanded the old red stain off to reveal the pale maple wood underneath. I love maple, especially when it has lots of movement in the grain. I restrained the top with Minwax Honey. It’s a warm, mid range color, no red at all.
I had ordered this bar pulls for another project but never used them.. The finish is a soft champagne color. They are super understated without being too much bling. With the paint color on these I didn’t want anything else to distract from it.
Not even the drawer liners :)))))
They lasted a little over 24 hours down at the shop ya’ll.
Good problem to have :)))))
