Ya’ll I love snow……….like CRAZY love it.
Last Saturday night we hit the Mother Load, at least for our part go the country. And it was the very best kind of snow, Heavy & Wet and clings to EVERYTHING! By Sunday night we had about 9 inches on the ground :)))))))
We have a row of 18 Hemlock trees in our back yard and they were the loveliest site to see.
Do any of ya’ll recall the antique dresser that I used to have in our living room before I painted the BIG Green piece a few months back? It was just to the left of our fireplace and painted gray. When I got Big Green finished I immediately moved the little gray piece out of the living room and it sat out on the screened porch till…….. well until the weatherman began to call for significant amounts of SNOW. It was sort of junkie of me to leave it out there on the porch but it weathered pretty well out there and sort of became an extra serving area. So, long story short when the forecast got real I jerked that old dresser in to the living room and went to town on it.
I’ve always really loved the way the top turned out on this one.
The cast iron map base was a $3 Goodwill find and the knobs came out of my stash.
I used the same paint on this dresser as I did on the antique desk , General Finishes Coastal Blue. I had also found a very affordable toile peel and stick wallpaper to do the drawers. I will link the products at the end of this post. I am a toile nut so I am super excited to find this paper in different colors.
This newly painted piece will find its way to the shop this weekend if the weather holds.
I’m showing you this photo just incase you thing I have my act together. All of the trees are down and the ornaments are wrapped and back in the attic all safe and secure……..but I just can’t put this big boy away.
Not just yet……
Stay warm Ya’ll!
