Over the last couple months I have been slowly adding to my collection of paint colors specifically mix in Valspar Cabinet & Furniture paint. I started out by hitting every major paint store in town and leaving with a handful of paint chips. I went to Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Glidden, Kilz and Prat. I also had a fan deck from Farrow & Ball.
It was hard at first to not be wowed by all the pretty colors. In the end I decided to sit back and think about only the colors I use the most:
Gray
Dark Blue
Creamy White
Medium to Dark Green
Soft Black
Aqua (just for fun!)
I already have my gray, soft black, white and aqua mixed and in my paint cabinet. Here’s what I chose in a dark blue:
This is Sherwin Williams Anchors Aweigh. It’s a deep, dark nautical blue.
I kept the top and drawers natural on this piece purely because that oak grain is beautiful,
and I had some fun with the drawers 😊
The antique brass knobs were an Amazon find. I didn’t want anything too shiny on this old beauty, just something substantial .
These fit the bill.

Beverly if I’m being honest we are struggling. My Dad is not doing well. I’ve had to put him in a nursing facility after weeks of caring for him at home. I’m really glad to here from you :))))
I am so sorry. It is difficult even when you know it’s the best thing. Don’t let the guilt overwhelm you. It’s what we have to do to provide the best care for them.
Make sure you’re taking care of yourself.
The guilt is overwhelming . I moved in with him for 3 weeks. It’s like watching a car wreck happen ………. Only a bit slower. I feel like the worst daughter in this world.
