When it comes to vintage furniture ya’ll, no other name will ring truer with me than Drexel. I will go nuts for some Drexel people. I feel like I’ve had my fair share of Drexel pieces over the last 10 plus years but I just keep running after more. I just can not lay of the stuff. The funny thing is that every single piece I have found I have painted it black. Also? Up until today’s victim, they have all been oak……
Also Drexel……….
Drexel……..
This lovely is pine.
Just loooooook at all those curves !!!!!!!
True to form, once again I went with black.
This is Sherwin Williams Black Magic .
I had it mixed at Lowes in their Valspar Cabinet and Furniture Paint line in a satin finish.
The top is a custom mix of several Minwax bits of stains that I really need to use up.
Lucky for me it worked out 🙂
Black and white drawer liner paper was a given on this project. These were all the candidates that I had on hand. I will say that I stared at this pile on my kitchen table for a few days before I was sure about the pattern……..
The best part of this project?
The chest is half of a pair.
