Things are moving quickly down at the shop these days. I am not complaining by any means. In fact it’s a good problem to have! Today I am sharing two pieces that flew out pretty quickly.
I found this Ethan Allen table at my Goodwill for a super deal! Based on the measurements this could be used a side or 2 person dining table. It was in great shape plus, true to form I went nuts for those legs:))))
I used Amulent Furniture & Decor paint in the color Modern Lace on this and stained the top with Minwax Jacobean stain. The paint color is not a white white but a cream color. My problem with off white or cream color paints is that they tend to be yellowish. This one is not so it’s made it’s way up in my paint rotation. It is lovely without being too sterile.
Lord……….the legs ya’ll!
Piece # 2 was an accident.
My Little Shadow here just turned 3 ya’ll! Lily is a faithful and ever-present helper in all my projects, be it making the bed or refinishing well, anything. God love her. I backed in to this Lane cedar chest while I was actually picking up an antique desk from a nice couple in Hendersonville. They were purging a gob of stuff from the looks of there garage. When I spotted the chest they suggested I take both for a better price. So I ran back to my car and rummaged through my purse an I swear to God some of it was change but I come home with both.
The body is painted in a discontinued Country Chic paint color called Woodland. It is a deep forest green. The top is also stained with Minwax Jacobean. I love cedar chests because of the nice storage in them but also because they make absolutely perfect coffee tables!
Ya’ll this cast iron Lab was $8 at Michael’s! I always style my pieces with thrifted finds when photographing them. Most of the thrifted accessories make their way down to the shop eventually. As for the dog? He is stay with me!
