We have talked about this topic a few times……..
Once the word is out that you refinish furniture , it will come to you 😉
My friend and coworker sent me this photo and you better believe I jumped!
Ahhh Hepplewhite pulls, how I love you.
I stuck my neck out on this one ya’ll.
Last Fall another vendor down at the shop brought in an entire antique dining room set pained in the most amazing gray I have ever laid my eyes on. I am here to tell you it was stunning! I was there in the shop as they were moving all of it in and I just stood and starred. The color was Sherwin Williams’ Urban Bronze. Then, true to Paige form I went on with my day and forgot about it. So a couple months ago we were chatting on FB so I got the skinny on the actual paint.
And it floored me.
Yep.
Me too.
Ok, let’s talk about this paint. I chose the satin finish. It is super easy to use. It self primes and self levels better than any paint I have ever used. It comes in quart ($26) and gallon ($54) sizes and they tint it to ANY COLOR IN THE PAINT DEPARTMENT. Now I had just bought a brand new $12 paint brush. I sure as hell did not want to wreck it with a paint that was hard to clean up. My hand to God? My brush looked as though it had never had paint on the bristles . The handle had paint smudges but the bristles were clean as a whistle. I don’t think this will be my only can of the paint ya’ll.
I reused all of the original hardware on this piece. They did get a bath in stinky brass cleaner for about an hour though.
I uses the very last bit of the swan paper on the side drawers,
And the gray stripe for the middle drawer.
I hope ya’ll have a lovely week ahead!
Paige
