A few weeks back I mentioned that it was raining side tables ’round here. I have had today’s victims for a month or more. They were stored across the street in the garage of our very generous neighbors, out of the ever watchful eyes of Big Daddy.
This is probably the 5th set of side table that I have refinished and they all look just like these. I find them quite often but only singles. I picked these up for $25 /pair at out neighborhood Habitat Restore, which is odd. I hardly ever waste my time in there because I rarely find a thing.
This color is Amulent Furniture paint’s Atlantic. I am well aware that these tables look black. . They are in fact a deep, deep midnight blue.
The original pulls were actually still on each table but they were black as pitch! I soaked them in a stinky brass cleaner and now they shine like new money!
For the drawers I used a navy and white peel and stick wallpaper . I will have an affiliated link to it at the end of this post if anyone is interested.
I have come to find that when it comes to lining drawers the peel and stick paper is much easier to work with. I use a razor knife to trim off the excess.
This is the 6th can of paint that I’ve gotten from The Chippy Barn and so far they have all been winners. I also got a can of one of their wood stains. I am planning on using it soon. As I am an avid Minwax patron I will let ya’ll know how it performs. I am super hopeful!
Enjoy your Memorial Day ya’ll!

What a lovely shade of deep, dark blue. I’m such a blue fan and I have a pair of end tables similar to these that are dying for some attention. These are a great inspiration!
