The 1980’s called……………
At least I think it was them :))))
Do not get me wrong ya’ll. I had a great time in the ’80’s, big hair and all! But every time I see blonde furniture or Madonna fingerless gloves it reminds me that time has marched on and I marched with it. I could not tell ya’ll where in the world my fingerless lace gloves were if my life depending on it……
These two were a sweet price at my Goodwill so I grabbed them and took off toward home. But all the way home I was thinking what will I do with them??? What color?? Jewelry???? It was a drill I’m not really used to. More often than not I work out all the design details while I’m waiting in line to pay. I pacified myself by thinking anything is better than this. The upshot was they are BIG, in really good shape and lots of storage.
I am still working through all the bits of paint that needed to be used before they all dry up. This color is Country Chic paint’s Jitterbug . It’s a deep rich teal color. Fitting for the 80″s huh?
These super affordable antique brass knobs were just the thing that these bedsides needed to bring them more current. Well, that and this gorgeous teal paint. The tops were stained in Minwax Jacobean stain.
I will include the link to the knobs at the end of this post.
Teal is a really bold color choice …….. I hope it pays off.
For the drawers I use a damask Society6 paper I’d been excited to use for a while now, a mix of different shades of teal.
I love the linen weave texture it has :)))))
Have a great week ya’ll!

Love these two pieces!! The color and drawer paper are beautiful! You always make excellent hardware choices. You def have the talent of putting all things together to end up with great looking pieces! Have a good rest of your week. Here in South Louisiana we had 6 inches of rain today with more coming tomorrow!!

Sherylthank you! I make the BIGGEST mess in my kitchen when I am ‘putting it all together’ that it is a wonder it ever gets done! I do love the process of picking the jewelry and styling the photos though. I style them as though they are part of my own home.

Love these two, just wondering how long does it take from start to finish for one of these tables? You seem to whip them out so fast!

Hi Linda :))). If I worked on them and nothing else probably 5 hours. But because I work full-time and have several other responsibilities it takes about 4 days for me to finish this pair.
