I can not tell you how long it’s been since I ran across one of these……..
I heart drum tables like nobody’s business ya’ll.
I can not even estimate how many of these very elegant tables that I have refinished in the 7 years that I have been an actual company. When I literally ran in to one in my Goodwill it took me a beat or two for it to register in my brain. This particular drum is one of the nice BIG ones, plus it has all of it’s toes!
The antique brass bail pull is also original.
I love it when the original hardware is still on the piece AND is really pretty. Replacing hardware is costly and as the saying goes? They just don’t make ’em like they used to .
This color is Fusion Mineral paint’s Homestead Blue and I use it as often as I can! It is such a pretty shade of blue with a bit of green in it. I got great coverage on this one, just one coat did the trick 🙂
For the drawer liner I used a wallpaper that has some metallic gold in it . This is a first for me and I am really happy with how it plays with the Homestead Blue, the antique brass hardware and the romantic style of the table. All three components are just so elegant.
This was just an easy, relaxing piece to refinish, mindless even……………
Unlike the china cabinet that is currently trying to kill me :(((((
