Well……
I am still in a dry spell around here when it comes to dressers. Sigh…… It is frustrating. So as small side tables are plentiful in my neck of the woods here’s today’s cute little victim :
Ya’ll this is my vey first piece of antique furniture with carved wooden pulls. So I did what any self-respecting furniture refinisher would do……..
I made them the star of this show.
The top is stained in Minwax Jacobean. I actually sanded the top down by hand on this one. There wasn’t much of a finish left on this little bedside table when I acquired it so it wasn’t a big job. I used General Finishes Coal Black chalk paint on it and can I just say LORD, how I miss that paint line!!! For the pulls I painted very carefully around them and left the carved part unpainted. Then I literally slapped the black paint all over the carving. Just as quickly, I took a paper towel and wiped off enough of the paint to highlight the wood peeking through. To seal this I used Annie Sloan clear wax.
I had just enough of the fish scale paper to line these little drawers :)))
I love how the little sweetie turned out ya’ll!
Have a great weekend,
Paige

Allison I thank you for your sweet comments. I’m obsessed with finding more pieces with those same pulls 😳😳😳

It’s beautiful!!
Black is my favorite. She’s calling my name but sadly I don’t have a place for her😩.
But if she keeps calling…. will she be in your shop?
