I have been weeding down my paint hoard as of late. I am really bad about chipmunking (Paige Word) little bits of paint, and by little bits I mean I will save anything over a thimble full…….. crazy? I know. Ya’ll really don’t know the half of it. So on occasion I will spread out at the kitchen table and just mix paints to see what comes out. So the downshot lately is I haven’t come up with any fun colors myself. I did however manage to find a fun color formula during a Pinterest search. The formula was mixing Fusion Mineral paint’s Park Bench (really loud green ) and their gorgeous, deep navy Midnight Blue.
Here’s what came of my color mixing:
It is some where between a Jade green and a Teal and it is just beautiful!
I picked up this table with quite the fancy bottom at the Goodwill for $20. The brass bail pull was leftover from the French desk that I did a couple weeks ago and the drawer paper was a steal on Amazon.
When I was mixing my paint I was going for the darker value in the wallpaper.
I love the paint color with this paper!
I found the bust planter at Michaels but winced at the $20 price tag. Luckily I found a 40% off coupon on there website while I was waiting in line to check out :). The faux dusty miller was also 40% 0ff as well. As faux dusty miller goes it looks super realistic.
I’m loving that little bit of alligator texture on that drawer face!
Now I want to paint a big buffet in this color :)))))))

Carole thank you for your kind words about my work, you made be blush just the least little bit :)))) My hope every time I drag home a piece of secondhand furniture is, at the very least to elevate it (style wise). In this case, this 1970’s mahogany side table with the fancy bottom I wanted it to fit right in to a home in 2021. This table has a lot of life left in it. Good classic design always does.
