It is almost here ya’ll……..
Please allow me to wish all ya’ll a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year!
But more, so much more than that:
I wish you Peace.
Peace in your family and Peace in your heart. Peace in your head and in you life. Peace when you lay your head down at night and the same when you wake.
Love.
I wish you Love in every aspect of your world so that you feel safe and secure in your own life. And lastly and maybe most importantly, I wish you enough.
Enough time, enough hope, enough love , enough patience, enough faith.
Thank ya’ll for everything you have given me here on this little ‘ol blog from Asheville. You give me way more than I ever thought I would need. Please know that I appreciate ya’ll and look forward to the New Year here on this blog.
Alright….. enough of that mushy stuff :))))
This little table ya’ll……..
When I acquired this little handmade piece I honestly had no idea how amazing it would be. I sanded down the top and discovers all of the amazing imperfections that only time can give a piece.
See what I mean?
Character for days……
I painted the base of the table in Fusion Mineral paint’s Coal Black. In my crazy little head it was either black or white as not to take anything away from the simplicity and beauty of this handmade piece. Every single mark on the top of this table tell it’s store to me.
The top was stained in Minwax Driftwood.
I have had this stain forever and for reasons not apparent to me, NEVER used it. It is a warm light brown with a subtle hint of gray.
The bisque Santa was a $4 Goodwill find.
I will included a link to the Reindeer Feed pillow at the end of the post. I will be an affiliated link which means that we earn a small commission from your purchase while your cost remains the same.
I crave more neutral Christmas decor the past few years. . Not a lot of red around here at all. The linen texture of the pillow fits in without being to0 obvious.
One more 🙂
Merry Christmas ya’ll,
Paige

I have really enjoyed your blog after finding it this year. You well-edited style really is appealing, I wish I had the self-control. This is a lovely piece, I was about to donate a quilt rack with a vey similar base so now I think I will try to talk handsome hubby into making a top and creating a narrow table which we could use next to a narrow space by our couch. That combo of black and browns has always been a favorite, a vintage colonial maple end table with turned legs is in that color way. Also thank you for your kind, encouraging wishes…it’s so weird having Christmas without my mom this year, and who knows if we’re even going to see our kids due to COVID…blessings on you this special season.

Well, that little table is a charmer! Perfect choices, as always. And the pillow on the chair is perfect nearby. Simple vignettes just make it an inviting place to sit and enjoy the season.
A very merry Christmas and happy and healthy new year to you, Big Daddy and those fsweet furry felines, Looking forward to the new treasures you create to share with us in the year ahead – it’s always a treat to see what you come up with.
Cheers to all!.

Black is the perfect color or those legs — what an interesting piece! How long have I been hangin’ around this blog ? A few years I think! You are hands-down one of my very favorites. In a sea of herd-followers and copy-cat bloggers, you stand head and shoulders above the rest. Plus your zany-totally-unique personality keeps me coming back. You make me laugh so hard sometimes!! Best wishes to you, Big Daddy, and those beautiful little love-bugs for a wonderful holiday season, and a 2021 full of what really matters to you!! xoxo
