So Last Wednesday over my lunch break I ran to Joann’s to pick up some Christmas ribbon in preparation for wrapping gifts come the weekend. Now, it just so happens that there is a Goodwill along that same route :). So it would probable have been some kinda sin for me to not stick my head in the door of said Goodwill.
Can I get an Amen??
So sure as the world, you always find something when you do not have a ounce of room to cram it in to the back of your Jeep. No? Happens to me all the time. The part about my Jeep being full already, not the finding something part, unfortunately . As soon as I clocked back in at work I get a text from the people at Sweeten Creek Antique letting me know that I need to bring stuff in to full several, several empty holes in my booth…….holes about the size of a dresser.
I am pretty sure this one will fill a BIG hole down there.
This antique dresser was $50.
For me that $50 is a lot in terms of a dresser. I usually make rash decisions when I need to fill a hole in my shop out of panic. This time I made a good one. This antique dresser is in great shape and has beautiful original hardware! Ya’ll, if it ain’t 50% 0ff week at Hobby Lobby, you can loose your butt on hardware. So long story short? I ran as straight as I could go back to at the Goodwill at five o’clock when I punched out at work.
These are the Before’s
To get this teal color I mixed Fusion Mineral Paint’s Bayberry and Homestead Blue at roughly a 50/50 mix.
Love that curvy bottom ya’ll ……
For the drawer liners I used a teal damask peel and stick wall paper that I LOVE!!!
It has a aged or distressed quality about it that compliments this lovely old dresser so perfectly. I will have an Affiliated link to it at the bottom of this post. This means that we make a small commission from your purchase while you actual cost remains the same.

Perfect! The teal is gorgeous, almost like blue spruce, and the wallpaper liner for the drawers is beyond lovely. So nice that its hardware was all there, too. Lovely job!
