Ya’ll it is crazy train in this house.
We are in holiday prep & clean mode. I do have a couple of pieces to show ya’ll but by and large I have been working on our home and yard. We do this every year so as to make our Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s run as smoothly as possible. Most years it works well. Some years not so much. But it’s definitely worth the effort.
Today’s victim :
Solid maple Heywood Wakefield side table $15.
Yes please:))))
This is a deep dark navy color, also known as General Finishes Coastal Blue.
It’s a deep, deep jewel tone with miles and miles of style. If you love a lush elegant blue, this is your color. This brand covered in one coat with minimal touch ups and that is always a bonus.
The top is Minwax Provincial . The pale maple was just so pretty after I sanded all the scratches and dings out that I thought a lighter stain would play just fine with the deep body color. The cup pulls are from Amazon and I will link them at the end of this post. They look like a galvanized metal which I heart like crazy. They have a matte finish, no shine at all.
The Italian antique hot air balloon paper was an Etsy find. I hung on to it for months for some reason but I really think it suits this little table.
Here’s a weird fact about Big Daddy:
Big Daddy hates wicker. I kid ya’ll not.
I missed the memo on that when I accepted his proposal of marriage ya’ll……..
Have a lovely week ya’ll!
Paige Davis…….. wicker lover .

What;s the difference between milk paint and chalk paint? How do you decide which one to use on a project?

Thank you very much😊 I usually go with the COLOR. Most furniture paints are a one step process and perform well. I prefer General Finishes or Fusion brands. I’m not really sure the difference between chalk and milk but I do not like to mix any powdered paint as milk paint is sometimes sold that way. Gimme a nice well made can of paint any day.
