I am very happy to say that the long dry spell of furniture appears to be over!
#Thankyejesus!
In the last week alone I have found 5 new pieces to refinish and I look forward to sharing all the details with ya’ll! The majority of them were in great shape and well priced. Today’s victim was a splurge for me and I bet you can guess why.
#1.
Those Hepplewhite pulls. I am an easy mark when it comes to those.
#2.
Good Lord those legs.
The top was a mess, deep gouges in several places x a really thin veneer = a less that perfect top. I took my time with it and worked the best magic I could with what I had.
You tell me……..
Lily. Always Lily.
She loves Hepplewhite pulls also 🙂
You will not find this color in the Fusion Mineral paint arsenal. It is a custom mix of their Bayberry, Homestead Blue and Lichen. The result is a lovely Robin’s Egg color .
The legs on this one are so pretty.
For the drawers I went with a fun wallpaper in aqua and coral. I will leave a link at the bottom of the post if anyone is interested.
This is a bow front dresser .
To cut the wallpaper to fit I just layed the drawer on top of the back side of the paper and traced around it with a pencil . I took note of the width of the drawer frame and cut the wallpaper about a 1/2 inch smaller. It worked out really well, I only had to trim a bit in a couple places with a utility knife. That top drawer is divided in to three sections. Applying the wallpaper in there was fun……
I barely, barely made enough of the paint color to finish this one.
I really wish I had made a lot more.
Can you see Mac’s little white toes?
Have a lovey weekend ya’ll!

Oh I love this! My grandmother’s bedroom furniture was this style and I never knew those drawer pulls had a name. But I remember playing with them. Running my finger in the groove, round and round.
This is beautiful! All your furniture is beautiful!!
