Several , several years ago , way before I painted furniture to sell I took a class in chalk painting. I took a wood table with me and in a room full of people who also brought pieces of furniture I learned a few things about the ins and outs of transforming castoff pieces in to masterpieces.
Here is my actually piece from that class……
I am crappin’ ya’ll negative here.
I really don’t know what happened here.
Long story short this table had sat in my garage ever since. Currently, I am struggling to do two things: empty out the garage and find furniture to refinish.
Today’s victim accomplished both!
This color is General Finishes Persimmon.
It is a brilliant orange with a drop or two of coral in it and it is way, way out of my wheelhouse. I had about half a can in my paint cabinet. It came in a two boxes of paint, brushes and finishing products that I bought off FB Marketplace a few years ago. When I cleaned out that cabinet a few weeks ago I was about toss that can. While it is a gorgeous color and this table turned out beautiful, I’m pretty sure persimmon will not be in heavy rotation around here.
The top looks amazing ya’ll!
Had I know the wood looked this good I would have sanded this baby down sooner!
It is a beautiful color 🙂
Have a great weekend ya’ll!

Agree on persimmon, as colors go – it wouldn’t be my preference – but it’s still a fun transformation to see on your little table!
