Since I’ve been called back in to my actual work I have been a bit overwhelmed. And by that I mean I haven’t gotten back in to the painting groove that I had enjoyed during my furlough months, and that’s very important to me. Painting. So this week I have very purposely carved out deliberate time to work on furniture. It is always easier to work on smaller pieces of furniture when time for them is limited , but smaller pieces have been in very short supply around my area. Today I am sharing an odd little piece that I came upon at my neighborhood Goodwill.
At first glance this table appeared to be hand scraped. On closer inspection it was just an odd yellow paint wash, cute but I am not nuts about yellow.
See what I mean?
The $25 price tag? I’m all over that!
How cute are theses little French feet ya’ll ?
I thought Fusion Mineral paint’s French Eggshell was a fitting choice for those little feet.. French Eggshell is a pale Robin’s Egg blue. It is a soft, delicate color and very French.
If any of ya’ll know anything about this table I would be glad to hear it. I have never seen anything like it. If I’m being honest, it had me at those feet.
The glass knob was originally from Hobby Lobby but it’s been rolling around in my stash for a while now. It is one of my favorite glass knobs to use on more feminine pieces, like French Provincial pieces. The top is a 50/50 mix of Jacobean and Classic Gray. This formula really worked well on the oak top.
The surprise in the drawer?

Have a lovely weekend ya’ll!
