Today’s victim is special
When I bring our groceries home , they better be in paper bags for Lily to play in.
She took a two hour nap in one today.
The legs on this thing ya’ll……………
This table belonged to Miss Jessie, Aunt Wanda’s mother in law. When Miss Jessie passed away Aunt Wanda gave it to my Mamma .
Now , it has come to me.
I chose a rich olive green for this piece, Country Chic Paint’s Woodland. It was discontinued over a year ago but I had quite a bit of it stockpiled. I haven’t used it in a while but as I am going through my paint cabinet in the middle of a Pandemic ……. You use what you have. One of Country Chic’s current colors. Hollow Hill is a pretty close match.
The top was in pretty rough shape with a central area of what appeared to be water damage, I’m thinking from a potted plant. I sanded down the top with an 80 git sanding disk first then 120 and the surface was still a bit rough. I ran a super fine sanding sponge over the top, probably 4 or 5 times and it was finally uniform and smooth.
I need to think about painting green more often, I love how this turned out :)))
Have a good weekend!
