If you have been reading this blog for any time at all by now you have figured out that I heart anything for five bucks. It’s like the magic number in this house. So when I ran across this antique table on Marketplace I was all over it.
Oh…….. those legs!
But that’s about it on this one.
And that’s just fine with me because I can sand and wood fill with the best of ‘um. I have the scars to prove it.
The little beauty is painted in Fusion’s Homestead Blue . The thing about this particular color in the Fusion paint line is once I get on Homestead Blue it is exceedingly hard to get me off of Homestead blue. It is a really gorgeous and luxurious color. As a Multicoat Painter? Homestead Blue covers in just one coat.
The mercury glass knobs were in my hoard waiting for the right piece to come along. Sometime last year Hobby Lobby had put them on clearance for $1.24 each and I scarfed up all they had. The sad part is they only had 4 :(((. With all the COVID shutdowns the great and powerful Knob & Pull hoard that I once had is no more.
sniff sniff………..
The top on this one was a wreck but a salvageable one. The veneer was thick enough that it did not disintegrate if I breathed on it and I was able to glue it back in to place and then sand the top down nicely .
Ya’ll!!!!!! I have been dying to use this chickadee paper from Society6 since the second it was sticking out of my mailbox!!!!!! They are so darling and I really like the sky blue background.
I actually sat up out on our front porch and refinished this table . It was a nice day and temperature for it.
This Bee drawing was another Etsy find. Big Daddy loves him which is odd because he thinks most of the framed art I drag home is crazy. The bee drawing has been digitized and is sold as an instant download. There is also a mate for it that I haven’t gotten yet but plan too. The gold frame is one of a pair that I have had for years.

One more……..
Enjoy this amazing day ya’ll!

Wow – I can’t believe you saw past all that damage – serious damage! And yes I agree – those legs! That blue is stunning and the mercury glass knobs are the perfect pair of jewelry for it! Well done – this will no doubt fly out of your booth !!
