Ya’ll, I am finally learning to use Letgo to my advantage.
Admittedly, I’m a bit slow on the uptake. Today I am sharing the second piece of furniture I have acquired on this particular website.
Today’s victim :
Ya’ll, I saw oak, I saw a couple of cool keyhole covers, I saw curves and cool legs. Everything else?? It can be sanded out. This ended up being a good, solid piece of furniture that did not stink. It was being sold by the nicest couple from Brevard, NC who were really a pleasure to deal with. They actually met me about half way between my house and their’s which was nice curtesy , especially on a work night, and yes I am that crazy……..
The original pulls are crazy!
I have never laid eyes on these in my life.
Good God ya’ll this mirror.
I found this thing at Habitat here in Asheville for $25. I can honestly say that I will probable die with this one. I love this mirror ! I told Big Daddy as soon as he came in the front door from work on Friday evening that I did not believe that I could part with it. His response ??? He said it was OK with him as long as you could see in it. Ya’ll. This this is cloudy as it can be!
I’m still keeping it……
Now , let’s have a little commotion for this oak top…….
There was no finish left on this top, however the grain was raised in several places. I sanded it smooth starting with 80 grit sanding disks and my orbital and then 120 grit till that top was like silk. The stain is Minwax Jacobean (I love the look of it with olive green!!) and then 3 coats of satin poly.
The copper lamp was a gift from my Mama that I have had for years. I recently dug it out of the attic, added a new shade now it’s on the gray dresser in out living room.
The gorgeous white antler tray is was a Christmas gift form my dear, dear friend Donna.
That Lady knows me well…….
OK two more………
Hope your weekend is lovely!!!
