Big Daddy and I were up stairs stretched out on the couch watching a movie a couple weeks ago. I was on Pinterest looking for Christmas chalkboard ideas like a maniac when I casually asked him if you might be able to draw something for me on my revolving door chalk board. We call it that because it changes seasonally. He nodded an agreement and that was all it took for me. I showed him what I had in mind and passed the chalkboard and a knubbing of chalk and then I went back to the movie.
Y’all? He had this done in what felt like 6 minutes.
How cute is this???
I have also seen pillows on Etsy of this design in red or black. I love the simplicity of it plus the fact that he sat there on the couch and drew it for me.
The all white nutcracker was a really quick and inexpensive project. Hobby Lobby has offered these unfinished, raw wood nutcrackers for several years now. I picked one up for around $5 during one of their 50% Christmas decor sales. I painted him with Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Champlain for a softer look. Nutcrackers traditionally not neutral soft colors. They are generally bright, loud colors . This soft cream colored one works well in our home
Are you ready for Christmas?
I figured out long ago that it comes whether you are ready of not.
So for me it is key to enjoying the ride!
