I fell in love with barley twist legs loooooooong ago. If ya’ll recall our most recent new old kitchen table has a beautiful set of them.
I don’t just gravitate to these legs. I feel an unbelievable magnet pull toward them.

$15 at the Goodwill ya’ll.
So I actually found this oak coffee table about three weeks ago at my local Goodwill but it was prices at $30, so I kept walking. Lucky for me the table became covered in tons of other items where you could not see it. The next time I came in that Goodwill even I thought it had been sold . So on Wednesday I stuck my head in the store and there it was 🙂
Lord this thing!
I am so obsessed with this Krylon black paint ya’ll. The power of a flat black paint in any room is amazing. It grounds and anchors any space you use it in.
I used Minwax Dark Walnut for the top and I love it with the flat black of the apron and legs. One of my current design manias involves Black, White and Wood. This photo really illustrates that well.
This trick with the book I learned from a Southern Living design house a friend of mine andI visited a few years ago. This particular book is an antique one. I love the way the book pages have yellowed at the edges.
I see how people start to paint furniture to sell and the keep everything they paint.
Enjoy your Saturday!
