It’s funny.
Every single piece of secondhand furniture I have found for weeks has been some type of small table……….yada yada yada, my shop looks like Side Table Hell.
But you get what you get at the Goodwill.
So here’s my latest victim.
This one was actually a very nice piece of furniture, especially for me.
I actually love these Early American chests. They have all the right lines and feet. Sometimes I go with a really bright color on one of these but on this particular one I went with dark and classic.
This color is called In The Navy and it is part of the Dixie Belle paint line.
It is like very dark blue velvet!
It is such a bonus when I get nice pulls in the deal! This little chest cost me $18 buck and it came really cool hardware. This does not happen all that often for me.
The striped slipcover on the chair was also a thrifted find. I found a pair of these heavy, canvas covers, $5 bucks for the pair. When I got home with them I went to through them in the wash and noticed the Pottery Bard label. Maybe do yourselves a favor? Check the textiles/ bedding section at the thrift stores. I’ve found quilts, coverlets, great fabric remnants, you name it.
Navy?
Yes please 🙂

Beautiful job on the chest as usual! Love the color! Also LOVE the chair covers, great finds (Pottery Barn). I agree you CAN find really good loot in the linen and pillow sections of Goodwill! I’m already on it hunny! LOL
