I have been fascinated with walls covered in pages from books since I first laid eyes on one while surfing Pinterest. The problem was I could never find a place in my home to use that particular idea. But I saved the idea to one of my boards. As luck would have it I found that pin by accident recently and as Pinterest does, I found all kinds of variations on The Book Page Wall. The one that stuck in my head was scalloped. The book pages were rounded at the bottom and when applied to a wall they were beautiful! So I followed the pin to an actual tutorial and heres what I learned.
You will need:
old book
plate
pen
scissors
glue dots or tape
I used a tattered Trade addition paperback book that was falling apart. I ripped the cover and spine off and began to tear 5 or so pages out and trace the curve using the plate as a pattern.
I used kitchen shears for this. It allowed me to cut multiple pages at one time, usually 5 -6.
My intention was to display my book page wall in my shop. But to be sure It would look right I cut those scalloped pages and laid them out on my kitchen table.
Then I could not wait to get down to my shop and get to work!
It took almost exactly to finish my wall. I was completely focused on my project but every now and then I would hear people shopping encouraging me with, ‘Looks good!’, and “That is darling!”
Personally?
I love it!
Have a great week ahead ya’ll 🙂

Well…where have I been ? I have never even seen this before! It is very interesting…almost textured looking WITHOUT using texture. It adds a lot of character and interest to the wall. I bet it makes the shop feel even more inviting! I have to check this out….
