In the warmer months, Spring and Summer I set my dining tables a little differently.
In a word? Lighter.
Lighter in color and less the table. I don’t used as much silver as I do in the Fall and Winter months. The flowers I use are minimal and from my yard, the deserts usually involve local fruit of some variety, peaches, blackberries and the like.
RecentlyI have found a few additions to my Table Setting Arenal that I am particularly in love with that lend toward those warmer months :))))
The gray and white buffalo check napkins are from TJ Maxx,
$6 / 4 cotton napkins
These navy and white salad plates are handcrafted and come from Walmart.
$3 each
Better Homes & Gardens Blue & White Mix & Match Salad Plates
sold individually
Have you priced these things lately?? I have wanted a set of these since I saw them in Pottery Barn .
This one was probably the biggest steal.
Dollar General ya’ll,
$3 each
The rest of the items on the table were thrifted finds .
Pretty cool stuff for your Summer tablescapes without spending a fortune!

What nice choices and great buys! Very light, simple and spring-like. Less can indeed be more. Lovely!

Yes the plates are lovely and the buffalo check napkins make me swoon. But here’s what really jumped out at me: texture. The difference between the weave of the chairs, the wood grain of the table, and the texture the chargers — and then throw in the bubble texture of the drinking glass, It’s all just beautiful. Especially because it’s up against backdrop of warm, neutral colors. Stunning. Oh, and is that Lily sitting in the window ?
