When I was a little , little girl my aunt Wanda lived with us in a small white house on High Street. As a child I was obsessed with the furniture in her bedroom. I should have know then what I was going to turn out to be as an adult, design wise. It was all 1920’s style and it was very different from the furniture pieces in the rest of that house, all legs and cures and quite fancy in my little eyes. Her bed was higher than the other beds in our house and she also had the vanity / dressing table. I would spend hours at that mirror. That set of furniture is now at my Aunt Nonnie’s house. I pray to God every night of my life that she wills it to me! So needless to say I go nuts when I find pieces of furniture from that particular period I try like crazy to get it. Unfortunately it is more likely to be out of my budget than in.
Today’s victim:
Lord y’all……
See why I’m cray cray ? Just look!
For me it’s all in those details.
I have had this buffet for about 6 months. It is one of several pieces I stockpiled when big Daddy was laid up. I have a couple more pieces and that will be the end of them. I had to really ponder the color for this one . I wanted an elegant color for this piece. I pulled out every can of paint I own and it still took me weeks to decide.
I chose Country Chic paint’s Woodland.
It is a very serene silvery green.
I am very sorry to say that it has since been discontinued. I once saw a dresser on Instagram painted in this color and immediately ordered it. It has been in my paint cabinet for maybe a year. It’s quite a change from my grays and creams but I am really enjoying it!
I only distressed the carvings.
I felt like it might be some kinda sin not to.
I really am enjoying this gorgeous green :))
Have a great week ahead y’all!

That is just beautiful! I do love the color. You don’t see much green furniture, so it is really distinctive. Great job!
