It is yet another rainy weekend here in western North Carolina .
And since I did not plane ahead with a couple of prepped pieces of furniture moved in to the house, there will be no furniture painting. I had been flipping through Pinterest for a few simple Spring decor ideas for our mantel which for me is the equivalent of the ‘Hey hold my beer…..’ rabbit hole. Once you’re in you’re in it. Next came the scavenger hunt for stuff that I had put away months ago and after that the balance game . If you have read this blog at all you know that I have a smaller chalk board that I change seasonally. Well this Spring I was not having much luck with that chalk board so I asked Big Daddy to help me. His first question was what did I want him to draw for me?
A bunny, I answered……..
And he was gonna make that happen for me :)))))
Pretty cute bunny if you ask me!
I added the moss wreath, tulips in blue transferware and the speckled eggs in the apothecary jar. I am only sharing half of our Spring mantel. I am still on the fence about the other half.
Mantels ain’t my strong suit ya’ll.

What a great bunny! Big Daddy is a serious bunny-drawing talent! Well done! Can’t wait to see the rest of the mantel!

Tell Big Daddy he did a great job! love that Bunny! Mr. Bunny seems to be a serious thinker, I’m wondering if Big Daddy is too! 🙂 Your mantle looks great so far…will love to see when its finished. I’m in the process of spring decorating too. I took down several of my regular wall art/prints and replaced them with some more “spring-y” looking ones (all courtesy of my local GoodWill thrift store. Since I like changing my wall art seasonally when possible, why spend a whole lot of money buying new ones, and personally I LOVE the beautiful frames on most older paintings and prints!
