I have learned that a simple dresser is the most versatile piece of furniture out there. So when I find one in my budget that doesn’t stink?
I grab it!
Clean and lots of drawers.
But that was about all this good sized dresser had going for it.
The original finish was flaking off all over the place so I did have to sand the entire piece before I painted it in three coats of General finishes Bone White.
It’s my very favorite white 🙂
The hardware really gives this old dresser it’s identity.
The spigot knobs came from Hobby Lobby for $2 each at 50% off. I have had these chipmunked forever just looking for the right piece to put them on. They are perfect for this one in my humble opinion!
Same with these label pulls.
To me they also have an industrial feel to them and you can not beat that price point.

I finished the dresser’s top with Minwax Dark Walnut and sealed it with GF High Performance Top coat in satin. I love the crisp combination of Bone White with a dark top.
Clean and classic.
Then these’s this guy.
I found him at Michaels…….with all of his brothers 🙂
There was this ram, a bull, rooster and a pig. It was really had to choose!
In my crazy little head I see this dresser in someones dining room with words like China, Silver, Linens written in beautiful calligraphy on the card stock in these label pulls and a gorgeous black and white piece of art hanging above it.
How do you see it?

This one looks like it was an awful lot of work – sanding the whole thing, and removing all those ‘colonial’ pulls! But, of course, it turned out ‘spot-on’!
The finish on the top if perfect, and I love those spigot pulls! I have never seen anything like them! Hope Big Daddy is healing and doing well!

He’s hanging in there! Thanks for asking. This dresser was a lot of work but very little overhead and it sold in less that 24 hours 😉

I purchased this dresser for my daughter today! It looks beautiful in her new house! Please let me know if you get more in this same color/style!

You had me with the title. LOL. That is the look I am going for in our new-to-us downsizing house up north. I have a Palm Beach vibe going on in Florida but I want more modern farmhouse with an industrial lean for our home up north. I like that you left the top unpainted and the mix of hardware is unexpectedly fun.
