Ya’ll, Fall is my favorite.
I love the cool clear mornings, the changing colors of the leaves, cooler nights with thicker woobies on the bed…..All of it :). It just makes my heart so full. So I was walking through Hobby Lobby about a week ago and it was pumpkin everything and I just thought to myself, Who gives a crap really??? I came straight home and dismantled every piece of blue and white china that had been in my china cabinet…..with glee.
I dug out all of my pumpkins and paired them with my brown transferware and my new old brown salad plates. The thing about my pumpkins is they are all from the floral pick department. Every single one of them was attached to a long stick and meant to be used in a floral arrangement. All I did was use my pruning clippers and cut the stick off. Not so incidentally they were less expensive that the the non-floral pick pumpkins if that makes any sense at all.
I also worked in a little bit of green.
I really like green as an accent color anyway and the dried hydrangea, olive branches and the greenish gray pumpkin work well together. The browns and whites seem to keep everything soft and not too in you face like orange might be in this room.
Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Really lovely – festive, warm and cozy feeling. All those colors work together beautifully! I have never been a huge fan of transferware, but I really like how you use it!

I love your fall displays! I haven’t started decorating yet because the temperature has been in the 90s until just 2 days ago. Now I am in the mood since it has cooled down. By the way, I have the same white Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes…so versatile, aren’t they? Visiting from Finding Silver Pennies. Enjoy your week!
