Always.
Every. Single. Flippin’. Time.
And a few times it has bitten me in the hind end. I see big, chunky, turned legs and my eyes glaze over. They add so much to a piece of furniture in my opinion. They are just so stately and solid.
Case in point:
Behold 🙂
Plus, it’s pine!
Other than a few scratches this thing was solid as a rock. I found it on Craigslist for $40. A very nice man from Canada sold it to me and help me load it in to my Jeep. Believe it or not, I had to chipmunk this thing away in The Hell Hole until I could settle on a color. My theory thus far has been the bigger the piece of furniture, the more neutral the color. The boil down on this theory is black, white or the grays.
And black it is 🙂

Three good coats of it.
Now, lets talk about these pulls.
I stood in the aisle at Hobby Lobby yet again for 30 minutes. I feel sure I’m on a list somewhere. I knew what I wanted but I couldn’t find it. So I created it:)
Once again God bless whoever invented 50% off knobs week!
I kinda spent up on these. You know, from me.
Good thing I only need two of each.
Pine is not a heavy wood. These two drawers don’t weigh very much so a big heavy knob would not have been a good idea. A lot of weight on that drawer facing would have made it unstable.
The top sanded down really well. I love how Annie Sloan Dark wax looks on pine!
And here it is down at my shop.
Thank for stopping in !

LOL, I think we are on the same list. And I think I’ve seen some familiar faces each time I go to that isle in Hobby Lobby. 😉 Love this and yep, the legs have it. Beautiful job.
