Several months ago I was on my weekly lunch hour sprint through Habitat Restore when I spotted this down in the cheap seats.
I say the Cheap Seats because this particular area of the Restore is not with the rest of the furniture. It is actually down in the lower level, with all the kitchen cabinets, appliances and construction materials. I learned a long time ago to check this area for the less than perfect furniture. There wasn’t a thing in this world wrong with this dresser. I assume it landed down here because the pulls were missing.
Y’all know that does not phase me one bit :)))
Then there was the price…..
That sure left some room in the budget for a pull or twelve.
So I stored it away in The Hell Hole and there it has sat until last week. It’s a BIG dresser, almost 5 feet long and weighs a TON! I really wanted to be sure about my vision for this one. It is an American Drew piece, very well made. And it just wasn’t coming to me. So I decided to use a trick I have used many times to get my creative gears turning.
A stroll down the Knob aisle at the Hobby Lobby:)))
Thank you Lord for 50% off week!
Now the description for the knobs says black. In actuality they are a dark charcoal gray, with a matte finish.
Just Perfect 🙂
I pained this big ol’ dresser in General Finishes Queenstown Gray milk paint. It is one of my very favorite Grays. These antique brass bail pulls I found at D.Lawless Hardware for $.97!
I am once again crapping ya’ll negative.
They are super nice pulls!
Heavy and substantial I mean. They look beautiful with the Queenstown Gray and the antique brass button in my knobs.
The top was in pretty good shape just not much finish left on it to speak of.
This is another example of the wonders of Hemp Oil. All I did to this top was rehydrate it and it’s beautiful.
Now it has some life left in it :)))

Beyond awesome! And I’m really loving the “Let’s Stay Home” sign – did you make it or buy it? I’ve looked online at several sites but don’t see one just like it. Thanks.

I remember seeing that piece at Restore and thinking somebody should snap it up because it was solid. Your letting the knob inspire you was right on because that color really sets the dresser off beautifully and could fit in any room in the house.
