God bless ‘um………people give me furniture all the time.
I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to be able to say that. My family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, friends of friends, you name it. It is amazing to me that these people take the time out of there lives to ask themselves, ‘Maybe Paige could use this?’
My Mama’s neighbor and our very good friend David gave me this table. I have to tell y’all that it really meant a lot to me that he thought of me and that he trusted me to do right by something that belonged to his family. Before anyone asks, I looked him dead in the eyes and said, ‘Now you understand I’m going to paint this don’t you?’ I gotta be honest with people. It is only fair that I give them the chance to rescind the offer. He did not, thank God because I loooove table like these:)))
It was all disassembled and wrapped in plastic when he gave it to me last Spring so it was kinda like Christmas morning when I came across it as we were cleaning out The Hell Hole last month. I actually squealed when I saw that it still had the bottom shelf!
I had just enough GF Nantucket Green to give it two really good coats and then I went over the entire thing with a medium grade sanding sponge to show off those beautiful legs!
I really have a soft spot in. my heart as well as my paint cabinet for this color.
It is the perfect Vintage green.
This lovely Nantucket Green antique table will be at available for someone to WIN at Vintage Market At Trailblazer Park on Saturday April 21st:)
It looks like it’s going to be a really fun event if you are in the area!

Just found your blog through Savvy Southern Style. I L-O-V-E this table!!! We have 4 of this style and have bought several others through the years for my son (who likes to refinish them & sale them). My husband and son think it is a SIN AND A SHAME to paint them, but I love, love, love the painted look. This green is gorgeous. Wish I had known about it awhile back when I was painting a small chest. I ended up mixing my own color of chalk paint and that was an ordeal, at least for me! I’m off to look at more of your blog:) http://www.cherischatter.blogspot.com
