Saturday morning I was in a stone, cold panic.
Well….. as much of a panic as I get in anyway……without a snake being involved. I. Hate. Snakes. Anyway, apparently I had sold just about my entire inventory in my booth and it wasn’t even the middle of the month. I had one million things to do on Saturday and one of them was go on a major grocery run. It seemed like we were out of everything at once. I headed to the grocery pretty early to get that knocked out before the store became too much of a nuthouse and I was sitting in my Jeep at the traffic light that leaves that parking lot running through every piece I still had in the garage, getting pretty spun up myself. To let my shop sit, mostly empty is not ideal. It makes no sense from a business standpoint and I personally think it turns off shoppers. My first rational thought was to pick a piece that would not take the rest of the weekend to finish and go from there. The easiest thing I had to paint was an antique desk and even if I did nothing but work on that thing there was no way I would finish before the monsoon we were expecting on Sunday.
Then I saw a yard sale sign right by my neighborhood :))
French Provincial?
Yes please!
The nice man at the yard sale asked for $20 for the pair, helped me load my finds in to my Jeep and away I went.
Crisis Averted……..for today anyway:)
Once I start with the Duck Egg it is had to actually get me off said Duck Egg.
I really don’t even try, if I am being honest.
Those sweet little curves of the apron on this coffee table are just lovely.
They really give the piece a personality.
The top came out well despite all the dig and dings.
Now for the side table which was solid as a rock! Most of these tiered tables that I find are super rickety.
Now for that antique desk.
Big Daddy says we are both going to end up with hernias before that thing is finished.
I don’t care either.
