It began to snow on Friday morning at about 5:30 am.
I know this to be true because I was already up.
I was at the grocery store buying everything they had at 8:00. Big Daddy’s office closed at 9:00 am and by 10:00 am we were in our feety pajamas, Christmas lights blazing watching Christmas movies.
Most perfect day EVER!
Later in the afternoon while Big Daddy was napping in the living room I was playing in our kitchen :)))
Last weekend I went by the WNC Farmer’s Market (not far from my house) which pretty much turns in to a Greens Market the day after Thanksgiving. I picked up three fresh Frasier Fur wreaths, one large and two smaller. The smaller ones were five bucks each and they are are about a foot across. I placed this one on an old round silver platter and poked in a few sprigs of fresh seeded eucalyptus. The candle holder is just an old silver compote with a transfer ware salad plate topping it.
This old china cabinet that I found at my neighborhood Goodwill last Winter has been so much fun to style. When I brought the thing home I could hardly contain myself 🙂 For Christmas I pretty much stuck to black and white in our kitchen. I mixed in some mercury glass and fresh evergreens.
You can’t go wrong with either one.
The second smaller wreath is in the china cabinet. I used it on top of a fancy cake pedestal. I’m really digging these $5 fresh wreathes :))).
The house smells divine!!!
This little frame was a thrift store find for a buck or two.
Its not exactly a chalkboard.
I used a scrap piece of black card stock, cut to fit the frame’s opening and wrote on it with chalk.
Another cable knit sticking from Michaels brightens up this pine cabinet on the other side of our kitchen’s dining area. I love their fur tops and the long, skinny style. At 70% off they we quite the deal 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping in to see my simple & natural Christmas touches in the dining area of our kitchen:)))
Stay warm & cozy this weekend wherever ya’ll are!

Love this in your kitchen! Where do you find the brown wrapping paper? Is it mailing paper? Also where did you find the big mercury glass ornaments? I am on the lookout for those. I may wait until after christmas.

Hi Julie! The wrapping paper is from target and it’s not the mailing stuff. I’ve collected those ornaments for years. Those were gifts.
