This past weekend it was a Little Christmas Miracle around here. A foot of snow that began on a Friday morning to me & Big Daddy is quite miraculous. We love the stuff! And after 30 years together we still dream of being snowed in together. We watched several of our favorite Christmas movies & football. We cooked meals together. We slept in.
And I actually had plenty of time to finish decorating the rest of our home……. in my feety pajamas 🙂
Now I don’t go nuts in our bedrooms with Christmas decorations.
But in our guest room I thought a mossy, almost olive green would go nicely.
It actually started with this $2 roll of olive ribbon that I found a couple of weeks ago at AC Moore.
The color is so rich! I dug through the big bin it was in trying my very best to find another roll of the stuff but come up with just the one.
I added a vintage green book and one of my Santas dressed in olive corduroy to the bedside table.
This was our Christmas card photo from a few years ago.
It is one of my very favorites and I keep it in this very special silver frame at this time of year.
I added an olive silk pillow to our guest bed .
I love the way it looks with these brown toile pillow shams that I found on Etsy of all places.
Above the bed I traded out the art in these frames for two pine botanical prints.

These were also Etsy finds.
They are$3.50 instant digital downloads.
I have collected blown glass ornaments for the better part of 20 years. Big Daddy gives me a new glass nutcracker every year. I love this green one from two Christmases ago. I tucked him in a wooden box among some evergreen, sugar pinecones and green mercury glass ornaments I found at Lowes a few yeas ago.
I hope these simple touches inspire you.
Sometimes a few makes all the difference 🙂
