Lord ya’ll.
I am right in the smack dab middle of the biggest furniture project that I have ever been Dingbat enough to take on. I have to say at this point that I make it a point to not take custom work. I have taken a very few custom furniture painting jobs in the past nearly four years and they have all caused me a pile of anxiety. And it ain’t worth it. I do not enjoy the process at all. In fact it gives me violent intestinal upset.
To put it nicely.
I have been taking a good break from furniture in general as of late. Vintage Market Days Asheville in August just plain wore me out, in terms of furniture painting……. and I tore one bicep and strained the other. Try to put a bra on with that hot mess.
Crapping y’all negative once again.
So, just like the March Market I have been taking a nice, long break of it and trying to let my arms heal.
My friend Wanda and Sweeten Creek Antiques (where my shop is) are partnering to host a Fall vintage market in less than two weeks. While I will not be a Market vender (outside all around the SCA property) , I do have a shop inside the SCA building. September was a really great month for me and my space in particular is pretty picked down currently. This situation is a fortunate one for me because I am working on a bunch of pieces for Fall that will hopefully transition right on in to Christmas:)))
Here’s a hint:
This chair is one of a set four that I scored with a pedestal table that actually still had its leaf! Nobody on the face of this Earth is more surprised than me. There has to be one hell of a dining table leaf graveyard somewhere because I rarely come across a table that still has them.

In my humble opinion this is the best black furniture paint out there. All the way around with one exception. It will not cover in one coat. Honestly, I am never gonna be a ‘One Coat Painter’ anyway and I’m good with that. GF Lamp Black is just a gorgeous black. Period.
I am about half way through the last chair currently.
I just wanted to pop in and sing the praises of this little can of black paint.
It is completely matte.
It is not cheap looking or inky.
It is a soft, creamy, Little Black Dress in a can of paint.
Have a great week 🙂

That does look like a nice rich black. You wouldn’t think there would be differences but there sure are.
