A few weeks ago Big Daddy and I drove down to Atlanta for the weekend and it just so happened that its was the weekend for the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market…….Lord what fun!!! It is HUGE!!! I looked at everything but I really had only one thing in mind.
Brown transferware :)))
To be perfectly honest Lakewood was not exactly eat up with the stuff but I did find two nice pieces. This covered serving dish was the very first thing that I found.
I actually found it quite early in the going. For me at $24 it was kinda pricey so I continued to shop for a bit to make sure it was in deed the thing that I had to have.
I am soooo glad it come home with me. It’s really beautiful!
This absolutely gorgeous dinner plate I honestly wish I had never seen. I have been frantically searching Ebay like a woman possessed but to no avail. This pice was $10 and worth ever bit.
I would really like to find more of them. I almost completely associate the brown transferware with Thanksgiving for some reason. A table set in these plates would be stunning!
Now this was the deal of the entire weekend.
I found this pretty good sized pitcher in a Goodwill in South Carolina for $3. I love the little beaded detail on it’s handle.
Lastly, I found the salad plates on Ebay for $15 with free shipping.
Personally , I didn’t even know that Ebay had free shipping.
We will probably be using these for Thanksgiving deserts 🙂

What terrific finds for your collection! I love brown transferware, too – so lovely, especially for fall and Thanksgiving holiday.
By the way, I’ve been following your blog for a number of months and I am a fan – love your style and always enjoy your posts. Yes, as a long-time eBay buyer and seller, many sellers do offer free shipping – it just depends on the seller, but it is always an option to list an item (or items) for sale there, whether fixed price or at auction, with free shipping. I offer it on some items, but, for me, as a very small seller, it has to be an item of some value because I always ship fragile items by USPS Priority Mail, so they are in transit for a shorter period of time than standard parcel service, which, in turn, means shorter handling by the carrier and less risk of damage/breakage.

Stunning post! I will be pinning many images. I found you through Silver Pennies Sundays.I also linked up my recent junk finds where I found several pieces of ironstone and a small brown transfeware teacup and 2 saucers. In my fall home tour I share a few of my brown transfeware pieces too. I am still haunted by a platter I passed on a few years ago. I can’t get enough of the brown, and yours is styled so beautifully for fall!

Back again! When I was pinning the images I realized I have the same saucers and I believe I have a couple of pieces of brown transferware in the same pattern as yours!

Love your finds! I think you really did quite well price-wise. I am a total sucker for transferware. I have been collecting it for years. I have quite a bit of red, blue and black, but not too many brown pieces. I agree with you that the brown is perfect for Thanksgiving. I may have to start acquiring some brown.
