Farmhouse signage is all over the place these days.
I love the simplicity of them.
I love that they are usually just black and white with a simple, thin wood frame around them.
I have been eyeing about 14 of them on Etsy for months now and this week I finally decided to pull the trigger on the one I loved the most.
I have also been in love with this Walt Whitman quote since the moment I read it about three years ago. I purchased this Farmhouse print as a digital download on Etsy. It was way more cost effective that one of the many hand painted wooden signs bearing the same quote. The shipping on those things adds up as well. I knew I wanted it for our bedroom. I also knew it had to be BIG. It had to cover the 45 nail hole that were left behind from all of the white platters and plates that I had hanging up above our bed before.
The actual print is 24″ x 36″. I took the digital file on a flash drive to the OfficeMax and they printed it and trimmed it for me on matte poster paper for $12.50. It feels exactly like card stock to me.
The wooden frame I found at Michaels.
It was $12.00 as well. These particular frames were 50% off plus I had a coupon for an additional 20%. I figure less that 25 bucks is a deal for a piece this big (all those nail holes) :))). I have also begun to transition our bedroom for the cooler weather. Not necessarily pumpkins and scarecrows but warmer and more cozy. I will be sharing more about that later next week.
We have been watching TV all day, alternating between The Weather Channel and the Football . We are still watching that hurricane like the antidote is in it. Things are looking better for the Carolinas.
We are still praying for everyone and everything in it’s path.
