Well.
The Market Push is in high gear here at The Davis House.
And I am teetering on the verge of panic.
I did the same exact thing in March. This time around I’m doing a few things differently. In March we rented a 16 foot POD and parked it down at Sweeten Creek Antiques so we could load all of our Market furniture and other goods at our leisure. Then the POD people delivered it to the Market venue for us to unload in 17 degree weather with a wind chill factor of God knows what! This go ’round I have rented a 15 foot moving truck.
And I am doing the driving.
Take my advise when I say watch our local news next Wednesday night because that ‘move in’ day:)))). All kidding aside, I am a little nervous. That’s one Bigass truck.
Wish me luck!
As I am packing up all of my stuff I have a couple more pieces with y’all. If I am being honest, out of everything I have to bring to the Market, I kinda hope this one doesn’t sell.
Back in May while I was staying with my Dad for the weekend we did a little junkin’. I scored this baby at his local Salvation Army Family Store on 20% off furniture day! That old man looooves it when we find something cool for a good deal. It was also the same weekend her an I found our farmhouse coffee table. You can read about that one here: http://www.southerncurated.com/2017/05/diy-farmhouse-coffee-table.html.
This beautiful oak armchair was in perfect shape, not rickety in the least. I fell in love with the shape of the back on the spot. The funny thing is I never once thought about putting a drop of paint on this chair.
I know. Crazy, huh?
The caning in the seat is also perfect. I don’t run across that very much.
Pretty Pretty.
Love these toes 🙂
Yep. I would be just fine bringing this one home.
Happy Weekend
Paige

I am a big fan of ‘Let’s not paint Everything’. The chair is perfect the way it is.

Smart decision! Save the paint for something with less character or that is crying for an makeover. 🙂
