We do not have a dining table in any of our outdoor spaces.
We used to, until I called the nice people at The Salvation Army and asked them if they would come and pick up our old deck resin wicker furniture that I had just dragged out in to our driveway. Big Daddy is still bitter about this. Apparently he didn’t mind having to get a Tetanus shot after eating at that table and chairs.
I am serious. That stuff was all to pieces.
So today I am setting a 4th of July table in our dining room. And I am not using anything particularly 4th of July-ish, either. I am taking the opportunity to put it all together using my ever-growing collection of blue and white dinnerware!
I found a stack of these Finlandia bowls at my Goodwill for $4. They were all shrink-wrapped together so It was kinda a $4 leap of faith. Three were newer Churchill and four where the original maker.
Out of all seven bowls, only one was chipped 🙂
The blue striped napkins I actually found last Fall in the Dollar Spot at Target.
They were $3 for a pack of two.
This little plate was also a Goodwill find for a quarter.
The table runner is actually a scarf I found on clearance at Walmart 🙂
Five bucks y’all .
The centerpiece I made from red flowering annuals I found marked down in the garden section at Walmart. I spent less than eight bucks. I had the container and the round woven tray that I added for a little texture.
Love that little rooster!
I gotta tell y’all I am really enjoying collecting, displaying and setting tables with blue and white tableware. If I wasn’t a cheapskate it would be a lot easier to find.
But what in this world fun would that be?

LOVE the tablescape! I am a lover of Blue and white ceramics, porcelain, dishes and other items. I display it year round and it goes with every season! I also love your Dining chairs! I have been on a mission to find some similar, but are hard to find unless they are in bad shape or the seller wants to include the table AND the china cabinet in the sale (which I do not need. But I will keep looking and believe I will come across them one of these days 🙂

This is so pretty! I love how it is not too cute or themed but looks festive. I like things to look fresh and seasonal but reusable. Good job. Maybe you will have to be on the lookout for a new or used outdoor table for your man. It is fun to have a mission to find something. Half the fun is the hunting!

I love the beautiful simplicity of your tablesetting. You can’t go wrong with blue and white for any occasion.
