Welcome to what I hope will be a three part series of simple and inexpensive ideas for lovely Easter or Spring Tablescapes! I am a self confessed Tablescape Lunatic.
And I am moor than OK with that.
I came by the mania honestly. My Mama was one as well. I LLLLLOOOOVVVVEEE everything about setting a table, from the collecting of things to go on the table right down to the textiles. For this first Easter table I chose to go as simple as I could, using things that I had lying around my own home.
This table is quite neutral.
I wanted to narrow my palette to brown and white. I had been admiring these beautiful, speckled brown eggs from our grocery and come up with a way to display them. I new I wanted to elevate them but I need a smaller, lower footed bowl that I did not have.
So I McGyver’d one.
These three pieces ( pasta bowl, cereal bowl and small creamer) became this:
It is surprisingly stable.
I carefully placed the two dozen eggs all around the creamer, trying to show the speckled areas as much as I could. Yes, I know how nuts that is.
The Ratan chargers offer some texture to the composition. I printed the bunny cars out on card stock and then tore them to size for a more relaxed feel. Here’s a link to the source so that y’all can print your own:

I added the brown transfer ware salad plate, showing just about two inches for pattern and interest. I love the pattern up against the pure white dinner plate.
I found these cute tags while digging through my ribbon stash a few weeks ago.
They made really cute place cards 🙂
Money spent?
Zero.
Enjoy your Saturday!
