I’m going to be BRUTALLY honest here.
Professional Branding costs an arm and a butt.
I don’t know about ya’ll but I spent all the money I had set aside for business related stuff on my website. I shopped around for months before I found something/someone that I both loved & could afford. And I have not regretted it for one second. But after all was said and done with the website installation that left very little $$ to spend on some sort of branding. So I really started to think about it early one morning as I sat in my living room before daylight, drinking my coffee out of my favorite mug with the big P on it. I really didn’t need much. I’ve been getting my hang/price tags for a couple of years off Etsy and I love them to this day. They are simple and quietly elegant in my opinion, as well as in my budget. The shop is called ModernTypography and a very nice lady named Melanie owns it.
Basic craft paper brown card stock, a font reminiscent of a General Store and sharp black letters. I picked the black and white bakers’s twine for one reason……PUNCH.
I stick to three colors of baker’s twine
I use the red only at Christmas !
Melanie even made me some special tags just for Vintage Market Days 🙂
I wanted something special for such a Special Event. So Melanie and I collaborated on a color and card stock that to me would say Spring. This Aqua on crisp white card stock did it for me 🙂
As I was asked over and over for a business card from people at Vintage Market Days, it occurred to me that Big Daddy was once again………right. I needed them. I had genuinely looked in to them before the Market. Melanie was my first thought but the problem was I truly need them to be printed on both sides. At the current time, she just doesn’t offer that. Then I got it in to my crazy little head that I did not want white or shiny. So after the Post Market fog lifted, I began to poke around the Internet for some business cards…….. that were me.
Both are on matte stock and the soft black business card has a linen finish. All of my contact info, shop location and web address are on the backs.
I just love them .
I am sooooo very pleased with these! I really love the fact that I was able to find the lovely, delicate botanicals to accent both the business card and the postcard sized shop information card. Big Daddy was really complimentary about these. He said, ‘These look just like you.’ When my website was built I chose a soft green for my accent color. I also chose to keep the leaf sprig up at the top of the page just above the site name. Botanicals seemed the best choice.
They also closely match this framed print that hangs in my shop,
You my not believe this. I found all of this at Vistaprint.com 🙂
You’re welcome.
