In the madness that is getting ready for a Market sometimes a get a little goofy.
Well. Goofy er!
I found this little chair, minus the actual chair seat for three bucks at my local Habitat Restore. I walked right by it three times, at a high rate of speed . I really detest painting chairs.
They are not easy to paint 🙁
This little chair was well worth it!
I have seen these ‘Chair Planters’ (I really don’t know what their proper name is) all over Pinterest. Every Spring I have all intentions of making one for myself, but I’ve never gotten around to it.
This thing is pretty stinking’ cute !!!
It was kinda hard to find something that would work as far as filling the hole where the seat was meant to be. I’d been tripping over this old galvanized bucket of Big Daddy’s out in The Hell Hole for weeks.
So far he’s not missed it 🙂
I painted this piece with the Robin’s Egg blue chalk paint that I’m kinda stuck on right now. I only used one decent coat because I knew I was gonna sand the daylights out of it.
Maybe now I won’t drive by the occasional, stray broken chair on Trash Day……..
at a high rate of speed 😉
