This Christmas I think our dining room may be my favorite spot in the house .
I had so much fun yesterday putting together this tablescape in preparation for a Christmas dinner party. I dug through my kitchen cabinets like a Nutjob to find all the pieces I already owned to create the look that I had in my crazy little head.
I wanted a simple centerpiece made from Evergreens.
I took my clippers and headed out to my own back yard! I used Hemlock, Cypress, Norway Spruce pinecones and Magnolia leaves.
I love these tiny pinecones on the Hemlock branches.
I have never in my life used live garland in a chandelier and for the life of me I can’t tell you why. I stopped in at my neighborhood garden shop and my gears started to turn. They were making the garland fresh on the spot for $1.99 per foot.
I came home with a 5 foot piece of cedar garland. The nice lady at the garden shop also gave me a handful of Frasier clippings to just to poke in for fragrance!
I’ve had these mercury glass ornaments for years. When the candles on the table are lit the sparkle beautifully.
The black and white checked tablerunner is actually an old tablecloth that I’ve had for years. I just folded it in thirds.
Believe it or not, I found these ceramic gingerbread cookie ornaments at
KMART.
I know.
I could not tell y’all the last time in was in a Kmart. They are half price right now! They are part of Jaclyn Smith Christmas collection.
So here’s my menu and all of the links to the recipes and brands for each dish. I’ve put this all together in the hopes that at this oh, so busy time of the year I might make things a bit easier you you and your family.
Consider it a Christmas gift.
