When I was 15 years old my parents took me to my very first Pro football game in Atlanta.
And I fell in love.
With?
Well, everything.
Both of my parents were die hard Falcon fans, which you may or may not know is a manic depressive hobby.
‘We’re going to the Super Bowl!!!!’
One week later…..
‘We are all gonna die!!!’
When I got a little older and started to date, every boyfriend I had was a HUGE football fan,
Of a different team.
I never wavered for a second.
When Big Daddy was exactly 10 years old his Dad took him to his very first Pro football game, also in Atlanta. He too caught the fever and vowed on the spot to have his very own tickets for the Falcons as soon as he was a grownup. So in 1984 when Big Daddy turned 18 years old he became a season Ticket holder at Fulton County Stadium.
He’s has had those tickets longer than he’s had me.
Literally .
So every August of our lives in Preseason hope springs eternal at The Davis House.
Actually, if I’m being honest it starts with the Scouting Combine in February. So technically we take about a three month break from football before the draft in the Spring.
We. Are. Nuts.
Most of the time we don’t stay the night when we go down to Atlanta for a game. We just drive back home right after the game. We leave our house around 7:30 am and we get back around 9:30 at night.
It was sooooo much easier when we were younger.
Last weekend we chose to spend a couple of days relaxing and shopping in Atlanta.
Big Daddy found us a Really cool hotel 🙂
The lobby was beautiful!
My coffee spot for the weekend.
Then there was this:
Our favorite restaurant was right next door. This may be our new hotel during football season!
Over the years Atlanta has become our second home.
All because two people fell in love…….
With a football team 🙂
