Simple and Free.
Did I forget to mention that?
There is a trend in the blogging community right now and the common thread is keeping things simple.
I am all for Simple.
Simple in terms of content and cash outlay.
For this Tablescape all I did was walk out in to my yard 🙂
This time of year in the Blue Ridge the leaves are so beautiful. Especially the Oaks and Maples.
The table runner is a No Sew project. As a matter of fact it’s the easiest No Sew project ever.
No Sew and Disposable 🙂
The runner is actually a $1 roll of gift wrap from the Dollar Spot at Target. I just cut the paper several inches longer than my table and secured it just under the table top with clear tape.
I started with my galvanized metal tray but any kind of tray would work. Then I dug three glass vases out from under my kitchen sink. They are all of varying heights and I actually prefer that. I filled them full of the brightest color leaves I could find and then did the same with the tray. I rounded the tray out with pinecones and feathers and tucked in my antlers.
Simple white plates on top of antique silver trays and black napkins were next. I’ve collected those trays over the years for a buck or two each. They make perfect almost rustic chargers.
I love the pop of color on the pure white plates that the brightly colored leaves add.
I told you, simple stuff.
I hope this simple Thanksgiving table inspires you to, at the very least take a walk in the woods during this oh so beautiful time of year!
